We're Having A Baby
The day I found out I was pregnant, I started writing.
Because that’s what I do. I write.
Because I want to remember every moment.
Because I need to process all of this and the best way for me to do that is writing it all down.
Because I hope one day, my child will read this and know that they were loved long before they had fingers and toes.

I stumble into the bathroom at 5:45am and pee into a red Solo Cup like some bedraggled Delta Iota Kappa pledge.
What? We didn’t have Dixie Cups.
Three minutes later, I'm reading the directions out loud.
"OK, if you see a little cross in the big window and a vertical line in the small window..."
"Baby, you're pregnant."
I'm pregnant.
John and I are having a baby!
Almost two months to the day we got married.
I'm excited, elated, nervous and scared...and I can't tell anyone yet which is the hardest thing I've ever had to do because YOU GUYS - I'm pregnant and even typing those words is just bananas.
So, I'm writing about it and keeping it under wraps until I can shout it from the rooftops.
Hey kiddo - it's Mom.
We know nothing about you right now but we do know that we love you already and we promise your life will be a good one.
You're going to like us - we're fun, Mom and Daddy have got great taste in music, we eat well and we love to travel and now, we get to do all of this stuff with you.
Oh and best of all? You already have a whole mess of siblings - Che (who we call Bebo), Roxy Shenanigans and Indiana Bones. They have lots of fur and the big one barks a lot but they're gonna love you. Especially if you share people food with them....which you will totally end up doing because you're my kid.
Daddy and I can't wait to meet you. I'm the small brown one, he's the tall white one. You'll figure it out.
See you soon.
We love you xx
